Description:

Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia is beyond excited to present to you this rare and gorgeous 2 owners, 6- speed manual 1996 F355 GTS shown in classic Rosso Corsa over Beige leather interior. In 1995, Ferrari introduced the GTS model to the F355 family. The GTS model was based on the Berlinetta but offered a removable "targa-style" hardtop roof, which could be stored behind the seats. In naming the F355, Ferrari used engine capacity of 3.5L followed by the number of valves per cylinder to bring the performance advances introduced by a 5-valve per cylinder configuration into the forefront. A total of 2,048 manual F355 GTS models were produced with roughly 337 of those arriving to the United States, to put that into perspective, a total of 1,311 F40's were produced with roughly 213 of them arriving to the United States. All in all the manual F355 GTS is a rare car in its own right but finding one in this condition, with a superb service history and story like this one makes it that much more rare & desirable. This particular F355 GTS was sold and delivered new by Algar Ferrari to its first owner and then traded back in and sold to its second and current owner and has remained a local car since day one. The car has been meticulously maintained every year with an open check book and whatever it needed it received. In Jan. of this year the vehicle underwent a Major timing belt service along with a pair of new Factory headers all totaling just under $21K. The F355 was a modern classic, so beautiful, so-well engineered, so well received that it marked the beginning of the end of the old-guard Ferraristi philosophy that the only "real" Ferrari's were ones with V12 engines.
