The LaFerrari’s elegantly sculpted forms lend a sense of huge power and aggression to the wheelarches, with surfaces flowing fluidly rearwards over the cockpit providing exceptional drag and downforce, and very efficiently channelling air to the components requiring cooling. Inspired by F1, the car’s front section incorporates a lower front wing that appears suspended on a single central pylon beneath the nose.

The LaFerrari is the first ever hybrid out of Maranello. Inspired by F1 experience, LaFerrari is powered by 2 beating hearts: the V12 800 Horsepower and 163 Horsepower electric motor are seamlessly blended by the HY-KERS system for extreme performance and maximum efficiency. The electric motor was designed employing High Specific Power Density technology enabling engineers to drastically lower the center of gravity, reduce weight and volume in relation to available torque. LaFerrari is the fastest and most powerful road car ever built by Ferrari.

The LaFerrari’s driving position is heavily influenced by F1. Both Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa were directly involved in creating a design normally seen only in racing cars: the seat is fixed but both the steering wheel and pedal box are highly adjustable to accommodate the driver’s preferred position. Key functions are integrated on the steering wheel with new longer more ergonomic gear-shift paddles. LaFerrari’s dash gives the driver the choice of layouts featuring the traditional central rev counter or a competition-style display designed for track use.
