Ferrari GTB provides track-level performance for everyday use.

Forty years after the unveiling of its first ever mid-rear-engined V8 model, the 308 GTB, the all new Ferrari 488 GTB marks a new chapter in the Prancing Horse 8-cylinder history. The 488 GTB delivers unparalleled, track-level power and responsiveness that can be enjoyed to the full even by non-professional drivers in everyday use.

An exceptional engine and sophisticated aerodynamics draw from Ferrari prowess in both both F1 and GT racing, in which the predecessor 458 holds the WEC title and has won its category in two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Ferrari 488 GTB is fitted with the astounding mid-engine 3.9-liter turbocharged V8, which provides top of class 661 horsepower, launches from 0-62mph in a blazing 3 seconds flat and delivers a top speed of over 205 mph. The 488 GTB’s extreme power and razor-sharp handling will ensure everyday driving around Denver, and journeys through the Colorado mountains are pure unadulterated driving pleasure.

The Ferrari 488 GTB is a stunning example of Ferrari style and aerodynamic performance. The front has a new headlight design, and is characterized by the double grille opening with larger air intakes and F1 inspired Aero Pillars for engine cooling and generating downforce. Extreme sculptural flanks, and large signature air intake scallops flow over the muscular rear wheel arches and newly designed tail lights. The tail is dominated by the blown spoiler and the large air vents which help improve the car’s aerodynamics, while exhaust tailpipes are placed higher to boost rear diffuser efficiency. The overall result exudes a sense of power and performance.

The Ferrari 488 GTB 3902 cc power unit is the most high performance Prancing Horse engine ever, with zero turbo lag and a unique soundtrack. The turbocharged engine delivers 661 HP at 8,000 rpm, 561 lbs/ft of torque, and .06 second accelerator response time, which compares to track cars, all while increasing fuel efficiency. The new Brembo Extreme Design braking system shortens stopping distances by 9% compared to the previous model, and new callipers allow optimal cooling under extreme driving. Aerodynamic solutions derived from Maranello’s F1 experience have produced record-breaking aerodynamic performance. Downforce is 50% higher than the previous model even with drag being reduced.

The 488 GTB cabin is designed to deliver extreme performance without compromising comfort and luxury. The racing inspired cockpit is tailored to efficiently meet the driver’s every need, with paddle shifters and key functions clustered on the steering wheel, and nearby satellite pods which are angled toward the driver. The characteristic longitudinal F1 bridge frees up plenty of storage space for small items, while the main function buttons are now in a more ergonomic position. Newly designed seats have fixed headrests, are even lighter and offer extremely high containment while being very comfortable. The 488 GTB features a new Sport infotainment system designed for ease of navigation, and keeps the various functionalities immediately at hand.
